Looks like bad news for Destiny players as Bungie has delayed the 1.2 update over a technical issue.

With the "House of Wolves" closing in, Destiny fans are geared up to plunge into the content that's coming with the much-awaited expansion. "House of Wolves" will encompass an array of awe-inspiring features such as new maps to fight on, new modes like Trials of Osiris and Prison of Elders, new areas to explore, and new Strike missions to overcome.

Basically, "House of Wolves" will change the game in unimaginable ways.

While Bungie continues to develop the groundwork for introducing such a huge amount of new content next week, the developer has regrettably stumbled upon a major technical issue that might become a hindrance as far as their upcoming release schedule is concerned, according to reports on GameRant.

The 1.2 update was scheduled to go live for Destiny players on the PlayStation and Xbox on Tuesday, May 12 in preparation for the release of "House of Wolves."

Community manager David "Deej" Dague wrote in a Destiny forum post that he spoke to the finest minds at Bungie about the Destiny update 1.2.0 and confirmed that they are working to correct a technical issue that would've eventually affected the game launched for several players.

DeeJ even promised daily updates on the implementation of the Destiny 1.2 update.

The "House of Wolves" is slated to release next Tuesday, May 19 sometime after 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT. The 1.2.0.1, and so fans would be hoping that the technical issue can be fixed rather quickly. The 1.2.0.1 update will be needed in order to unlock the expansion's contents, according to reports on Inquisitr.

While several fans speculated that the "House of Wolves" expansion could be delayed citing this major issue, DeeJ promised players that they'd hear from him once a day about this.
