While a late-breaking technical issue delayed the update 1.2.0, Bungie is confident that everything is coming together.
After speaking with the finest minds at the studio about the patch 1.2.0, DeeJ confirmed that they are working on correcting a late-breaking technical issue, according to reports on Destiny forum post.
In Bungie Weekly Update, DeeJ opened up about the "House of Wolves" patches, along with a new matchmaking trick that will help players to get back into the fight.
Two separate updates will start the ball rolling for the players to experience Expansion II. The patches are scheduled to go live on Tuesday, May 19. The notes also have been confirmed, but Bungie said it will go on posting updates throughout the coming days regarding the state of the patch, VG24/7 noted.
That being said, Bungie also stated that there is a possibility that it will go live today, May 15, as will the patch notes.
Bungie notes that the much-anticipated House of Wolves expansion won't simply populate the world of Destiny with more villains that need to be slayed, it will also assist players to stay firm in the action. The solution is something Bungie has dubbed as "Connection Recovery."
The new system will be designed to help players who lose their connections with the servers to reconnect to the matches they were just in, Matchmaking Engineer, Damian Frank explained.
Every time a player disconnects, they will see a message informing them that the game is attempting to reconnect. This gives players a bare possibility of rejoining the server they were playing on. The player, who successfully reconnects, will keep his/her progress and Fireteam, those who miss will be kicked back to orbit.
Many a Guardian will unquestionably benefit from Connection Recovery if it's successful.
Starting with the Trials of Osiris PvP event, the new quality of life addition will be rolled out in small doses.
