While a Japanese trailer of Pixar's Inside Out explore the brightly colorful mind of a young girl, the film is slated to open the Taormina Film Fest.
Pixar Animation Studios' upcoming 3D animated fantasy-comedy film, "Inside Out" will open Italy's Taormina Film Fest.
Ahead of its US June 19 release, the latest film from Pixar will screen on June 13 as a special event in Taormina's open-air ancient Greek theater.
While Asia Argento is billed as master of ceremonies at the Taormina Film Fest, Patricia Arquette and Italian director Gabriele Salvatores are slated to hold master classes.
Directed by Jean-Baptiste, Michael Douglas starrer, "Beyond the Reach" will open Taormina's new competition with a panel of jurors that comprises of film-buff students. Universal's 3D "Jurassic World" is scheduled to screen in the Greek theater June 11 as a pre-opening event, according to Variety.
"Inside Out" is set in the mind of a young girl (Kaitlyn Dias), where five emotions including Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear and Sadness try to lead her through her life. The film's voice cast includes Diane Lane, Lewis Black, Bill Hader, Kyle MacLachlan, Mindy Kaling, and Amy Poehler.
The film is the first Pixar animated feature since Monsters University (2013). Inside Out also marks the third feature-length project by Peter Docter, Pixar's "brain trust" member. The Oscar-winning writer/director has previously worked on Monsters, Inc. and Up. Simply on those grounds, it looks like movie goers would be interested in seeing this new Pixar creation.
A newly released Japanese trailer of the film not only offers another look at artistically designed interior of Riley's mind, but it also offers an array of imagery and music, according to reports on ScreenRant.
"Inside Out" will be released wide in Italy on Sept. 16
With artistic director Mario Sesti leaving, and general manager Tiziana Rocca appointing a four-member selection committee, the Sicilian fest has recently undergone few changes.
