Destiny fans rejoice! Bungie has revealed that "House of Wolves" expansion has more secrets to be unveiled as the studio faced an avalanche of new activity after Guardians got hold of the highly-anticipated DLC on May 19.
There was a lot of hype surrounding Destiny's "House of Wolves" expansion and judging by the numbers, Bungie revealed in the Destiny weekly update on Thursday, May 21, it looks like just about all gamers were impatiently waiting for the expansion.
"The stampede on May 19th was... impressive. Not even the arrival of the KinderGuardians of Christmas could match the numbers we saw for the opening of Wolf Hunting season," community manager DeeJ noted.
He added, "As of 11AM on the third day of fighting, Skolas has been captured almost 900,000 times, and evicted from the Prison of Elders with extreme prejudice over 9,000 times."
Serving as a route for the release of House of Wolves, the Queen's Wrath introduced new bounties capable of rewarding players with materials, engrams, and treasure keys from Ether Chests, according to reports on GameZone.
However, citing the nature of these chests, the engrams could only be decrypted when House of Wolves released on Tuesday, May 19. Destiny developer, Bungie noted that 105 million engrams were decrypted with 11.2 billion, with a B, glimmer being paid out by the Cryptarch as a consequence. It's fitting that he paid up considering all the times he conned Guardians with legendaries with Destiny first launched.
Bungie also revealed there are more secrets to be found in House of Wolves.
"After all was said and done, we hope there was still a secret or two left in the vault," DeeJ wrote on the company's official site. He also added, "House of Wolves has a few more secrets tucked up its sleeves. There are battles that have yet to even begin."
The very first Trials of Osiris is slated to rollout Friday, May 22 at 6PM UK time. A Trial of Osiris challenge will be hosted by Twitch. The challenge winner will be rewarded with a cash bounty that can be redeemed for the charity of their choosing, according to Express.
The Crucible multiplayer mode "TOO" hosts two teams comprising of three players each that square off against each other with only reviving fallen teammates an option. It is scheduled to run Friday through to the weekly reset on Tuesday. The multiplayer mode requires a Trials Passage to enter.
