On May 25, the Korean publication Xportsnews published a report announcing the pregnancy of "Ex-Girlfriend Club" star Lee Yoon Ji.
The article included a statement from a representative at her agency, Namoo Actors. "Lee Yoon Ji is 3-months pregnant," said the representative. "Please congratulate her."
Lee is currently starring opposite Byun Yo Han and Song Ji Hyo, in the romantic comedy, "Ex-Girlfriend Club." The representative for Namoo Actors provided clarification in a report published by Mydaily, that actress intends to complete filming of the cable program. "She intends to complete the remaining shooting without hindrance," said a representative for Namoo Actors.
Prior episodes of the series have included action-packed catfights between the women and physical slapstick.
She portrays Jang Hwa Young, a professional woman who is involved in the production of the film adaptation of a popular webtoon, which is based on the past relationships of her ex-boyfriend. Hwa Young is the fiercest member of the ex-girlfriends, having previously stalked Bang Myung Soo (Byun Yo Han). Over the course of the series, Hwa Young attempts to put forth a better image with Myung Soo and her fiance.
Lee debuted in the 2003 family sitcom, "Nonstop 4." She continued to appear in K-Dramas including "Princess Hours," "Dream High," and "The King 2 Hearts." She appeared opposite Super Junior's Kangin on "We Got Married," prior to her real life nuptials in September 2014, to a dentist.
"Ex-Girlfriend Club" will complete its run in July 2015. The series will be replaced by the supernatural K-Drama, "Oh My Ghost."
