Mama June Shannon is mad over TLC's unfair treatment as the network did not cancel "19 Kids and Counting" despite some serious revelations about the oldest Duggar son, while show "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" was canceled last year after she allegedly started dating a convicted sex offender.
"Here Comes Honey Boo Boo's" Mama June is mad over what she claims is unfair treatment by TLC as the network did not cancel "19 Kids and Counting" despite Josh Duggar's molestation scandal. Mama June's show was canceled last October.
In an interview with Extra, the reality star expressed her dismay over TLC's move to continuing airing "19 Kids and Counting," while the network cancelled the reality TV series "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" just hours after her photos with Mark Anthony McDaniel Sr., a convicted child molester, surfaced online.
Mama June said, "I didn't even do anything, it was just speculation over like rumors, I never dated the guy, I never touched my kid, I think that's disgusting and our show was cancelled immediately, now they've got them on oh they're on a break right now, no it wasn't no break with us, it was like seven hours after the news broke, cancelled."
TLC has not axed "19 Kids and Counting," but just pulled the show from its scheduled in the wake of the older Duggar son revealing his shocking deed that took place 12 years ago, according to People.
Though Duggar, 27, accepted that he acted inexcusably, the reality star denied that he touched or molested five underage girls when he was still a teenager. Mama June stated that she is not upset over TLC for cancelling her show, but she is not happy with the network's double standards.
"I believe it's a double standard that if they're gonna cancel our show because of rumors and stuff, that if they don't cancel their show - and he did a whole lot more horrendous stuff than I would've ever thought about with my children - that's just crazy," Mama June said.
The "Honey Boo Boo" matriarch went as far as saying that she believes the show should be cancelled too.
"I feel like, to me, they need to be axed just like I was. They need to be axed, not just, 'Oh, we're taking a break.' It was to me the most messed-up situation," she explained.
