The final "Naruto Gaiden" manga novel has been given an official release date of July 3. According to the synopsis, the story will focus on the Akatsuki organization, a devious group of rogue ninja from different countries.

Anime News Network reported that Amazon has officially announced that the sixth and final "Naruto Gaiden" manga novel will be released on July 3. It was mentioned that Shin Towada will be writing the series.

Here is the synopsis of the "Naruto Gaiden" manga:

"A boy Sasuke met during his journey speaks of how his family was killed by Akatsuki... Itachi and Kisame. Hidan and Kakuzu. Deidara and Sasori. Nagato and Konan. What is the path of the ninja that was illuminated by the light of Akatsuki? (lit. the dawn) The sixth volume in the Hiden series"

According to Christian Today, at the end of the "Naruto" series the Akatsuki group has been dissolved, given that there were new members left. The website speculated that the end of the spin-off will take place before the final events took place in the main series.

The English version of the novel will be released later this year, beginning with Kakashi and Shikimaru first. The fifth Naruto novel, "Gaara Hiden" will be made available on June 4, 2015.

It was said that the spin-off will also complement "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" which is an epilogue that will focus on Naruto's son and Sasuke's daughter.

The series will take place several years after the main series. Plot spoilers revealed that Boruto would want to follow in his father's footsteps. He would then sign up to become Sasuke's apprentice. It was teased that Boruto and Naruto will not have a good father-and-son relationship, resulting to the latter harboring resentment towards the seventh Hokage. Orochimaru was also said to make a surprising return as the main villain.
