Summertime has hit Korea, which explains all of the thrilling soda and sports drink commercials. Model-turned-actor Lee Jong Suk helps to turn up the heat in his latest ads for Sunkist. The "Pinocchio" star weaves his way through the fantasies of his co-star, as she dreams about his kissable lips.
A report published in the business section of Aju News highlighted the Sunkist ad campaign. The article, which bore the title "Star in China: Lee Jong Suk, the Asia Strategy in Sunkist Drink Models."
The writer for Aju News praised Lee for his marketing potential in Korea and throughout other parts of Asia and incorporated a positive statement from a representative for Sunkist. "Lee Jong Suk has the fresh and tender image of the Sunkist brand, which is why he was chosen as a model," said a representative for the beverage brand.
While his role opposite Park Shin Hye in "Pinocchio" has increased his endorsements in China, his popularity in Asia followed the success of "School 2013."
A second commercial illustrates the otherworldliness of Sunkist, as Lee interacts with a computer generated girl. His interaction with the animated girl highlights his acting ability, as he draws viewers in to the story.
While his next K-Drama and film roles have yet to be announced, he continues to reach out to audiences through his fan meetings. He recently visited Japan and is set to appear at the 30th Asian International Exhibition Hall in Hong Kong for his 2015 Lee Jong Suk Fan Meeting Tour. The tour features a rigorous schedule that has included stops in Seoul, Beijing, Taiwan, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
