According to "Homeland" season 5 spoilers from Deadline, Carrie (Claire Danes) and Quinn's (Rupert Friend) romance will no longer be the focal point of the series. It was mentioned that Carrie will have a new love interest this season, by the name of Jonas Happich, played by "Inglorious Bastards" actor Alexander Fehling. Fehling was signed as a series regular and a legal counselor for the During Foundation.
Joining Fehling as "Homeland" series regulars are Miranda Otto, Sebastian Koch and Sarah Sokolovic. The website reported that the new cast members will begin shooting by next week.
Meanwhile, "Homeland" season 5 spoilers revealed that there will be a two and a half year time jump after the events of season 4. It was said that Carrie is still feeling guilty about her actions and decided to resign from her position with the US government.

"Homeland" will also make history by being the first US series to be filmed entirely out of the country, in Germany.
