Roy Kim, the winner of Superstar K4, has been added to the lineup of KCON 2015 in Los Angeles. On June 4, CJ E&M announced the addition of the singer-songwriter to the roster of performers for the upcoming Hallyu event.

In 2012, Kim emerged as the champion of the fourth season of Mnet's Superstar K, beating more than 2 million contestants. During the competition, he released a duet with fellow contestant Jung Joon Young titled "Becoming Dust." "Becoming Dust" reached first place on the Gaon and the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

His debut album, "Love Love Love" yielded the hit "Spring Spring Spring," which dominated the now-defunct Billboard Hot 100 chart for three consecutive weeks. His unique sound, which can best be described as Korean folk, has helped to distinguish his releases from those of his contemporaries.

After completing his promotional activities for his release "Home," he returned to his studies at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Fans who were not aware of his enrollment at the college were delighted to learn to that there was a K-pop star studying at an American university.

The 21-year-old pop vocalist also performed the title track for the hit drama, "Pinocchio."

Roy Kim joins the previously announced artists of the star-studded line-up of KCON Los Angeles. KCON Los Angeles will also feature performances by Super Junior, Shinhwa, AOA and Block B.
