On June 11, KCON USA announced the addition of GOT7 and Sistar to the lineup of KCON Los Angeles (KCON LA). KCON 2015 LA will be held at the Staples Center and the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 31 through August 2. They join previously announced artists Super Junior, Shinhwa, AOA, Block B and Roy Kim.

GOT7 debuted in 2014 with the hit EP, “Got It?” The 7-member male group captured the hearts of K-pop fans with their combination of hip-hop and choreography inspired by martial arts. In June 2014, they followed the success of their freshman release with the critically-acclaimed EP, “Got Love.” JYP Entertainment’s rookie group capped off 2014 with the release of their first studio album, “Identify.”

The web series “Dream Knight” helped to introduce GOT7 to Korean drama fans.

GOT7 is a multinational group, comprised of members JB, Mark, Jackson, Jr., Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom. Their homelands include Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, and the United States.

The four-member girl group, Sistar, consists of Hyolyn, Bora, Soyou, and Dasom. Sistar debuted with Starship Entertainment in 2010. They are an ensemble which places a strong emphasis on vocal talent.

Sistar experienced explosive success in 2014. Soyou kicked off the year with her hit solo track, “Some,” which remains one of the hottest R&B tracks in K-pop. In July 2014, Sistar released their third mini album, “Touch N Move,” which yielded the infectious summer hit, “Touch My Body.”

In addition, the organizers of KCON announced the first-ever 2015 NY K-Pop Festival at KCON. Sponsored by the Korean Cultural Service of New York, the NY K-Pop Festival is a challenging talent competition for Korean pop vocalists and dancers.

Worldwide auditions will determine the 6-8 finalists who will compete on August 8 at KCON NY 2015. A mystery K-pop idol will be a judge on the panel. Entrants can apply at the KCON USA website.

Platinum and Combo tickets for KCON LA will go on-sale on June 18 at 10 a.m. PST/ 1 p.m. EST. Individual tickets for KCON LA and all New York tickets will go on-sale on June 22 at 10 a.m. PST/ 1 p.m. EST. Ticket packages and pricing can be found on the KCON USA website.
