With the NBA Finals 2015 enjoying the highest ratings since Michael Jordan won his last title for the Chicago Bulls, the question nagging everyone's minds is, will Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr shuffle his starting lineup once again?
During game 4 of the NBA Finals 2015, and with the Warriors' backs against the wall, Steve Kerr made a ball-sy move by changing the lineup and lying about it.
Prior to tipoff, the rookie coach-a teammate of Michael Jordan when the Chicago Bulls won three titles in the 1990s-was asked if the starting lineup will stay the same and he said that there's going to be no changes.
"I lied," he told reporters later.
That lie could be forgiven, however, as the Golden State Warriors bludgeoned the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 4 of NBA Finals 2015 when Steve Kerr inserted Andre Iguodala and seldom-used David Lee into the starting lineup.
"He has been our best player all series," Steve Kerr said.
Talking about Iguodala, Lebron James said, "He's one of the X factors, and he came to play. He shot the ball extremely well. He hit four 3s. He was in attack. He got a couple dunks in transition early on in the game, which got him going, and he was really good for them."
The next question is what will Steve Kerr's starting lineup be for the Golden State Warriors in game 5 of NBA Finals 2015? But then it would be easier to just skip the question because he would just lie.
"Sorry, but I don't think they hand you the trophy based on morality," the first-time coach said. "They give it to you if you win. So sorry about that."
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors series for NBA Finals 2015 is shaping up to be a fan favorite.
Sporting World journalist Sean Deveney tweeted, "When you hear 'highest NBA Finals ratings on ABC' only covers 13 yrs. BUT, rating now 13.1 highest since 1998 MJ swan song (best ever 18.2)."
Deadline reported, "With early numbers having 16.33 million watching the game last night, the 2015 Game 4 viewership is up 9% over the 2014 Game 4 final viewership of 14.96 million. Compared to the Game 1 jump of the 2015 NBA Finals on June 4, last night's fast national ratings are up 13% over the early numbers for what was also Warriors victory."
