Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition is costing the family a fortune in medical bills as Whitney Houston's daughter is being tranfered back to the house where she was found unresponsive in a bathtub in January this year.
The Wrap talked to Paul Hughes-Cromwick, senior health economist at the Center for Sustainable Health Spending at the Altarum Institute, to determine the medical costs of a patient similar to Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition.
He said that staying at the hospital for about two months will cost between $60,000 to $120,000 depending on the insurance coverage as well as the rates of the institution.
"It could be the case where they have to pay full charges just because they're famous and they're supposed to have a lot of money," Hughes-Cromwick said. "And maybe they don't have an insurance plan that has done this kind of negotiating with the provider."
For Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition, where she's receiving premium treatment, he estimated that it would be no less than $165,000 after about 11 weeks.
Meanwhile, the family of Bobbi Kristina Brown is moving her back to familiar territory in Georgia where she will stay for the rest of her treatment.
"They are planning to keep her in Georgia and possibly bring her back to the townhouse," a source told Radar Online. "That was her home and her mum's home. If they can bring her back it would be great."
"If she's alive, then let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mum. It's as good as it gets in such a bad situation," the source added.
The police is still no closing the investigation into what prompted Bobbi Kristina Brown's condition.
Rusty Grant, chief of the Roswell Police Department, told People, "Criminal investigations remain active until a decision is made not to prosecute an individual(s) or a person is prosecuted, adjudicated and all appeals are exhausted."
