Dana White is confident the UFC 189 event featuring Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor will rack up over 1 million pay-per-view buys.

UFC boss Dana White is not shy about describing the Jose Aldo-Conor McGregor featherweight bout as "Fight of the Century."

"They'll do over a million," White affirmed. "It's already tracking at over a million buys. Conor thinks he's gonna do the biggest number ever, but to be honest and realistic, I think it's gonna do over a million."

Though the number is not expected to approximate the mammoth 4.4 million PPV buys generated by the much-hyped boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao, nevertheless UFC 189 numbers are definitely impressive, International Business Times noted.

If early numbers are anything to go by, the fight alone will earn $50 million from ticket sales and PPVs, and the fact that tickets for the July 11 fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas already sold out proves that. Moreover, it also helps a money-making rematch which is always on the horizon in case the outcome generates more hype and controversy.

Amidst White's predictions regarding the highly-anticipated UFC 189 spectacle, Jose Aldo is prepping for the inevitable stare down that awaits the UFC Featherweight Champion when the two combatants finally lock horns at UFC 189. Aldo braved the very loud McGregor as they made stops across the world while controlling every feeling he had inside to take a swipe at McGregor before stepping into the Octagon, according to reports on UFC.

UFC president Dana White has gone as far as naming the bout as the main event, despite being the lower class of two title matches. That being said, this will be the first time a lower weight class will top-bill a UFC pay-per-view event after the Aldo-McGregor fight was headlined as the last match of the evening over the Robbie Lawler-Rory MacDonald, which will decide the welterweight championship.

Jose Aldo and Conor McGregor will square off for the featherweight title on July 11 at UFC 189 at Las Vegas, Nevada.
