The vicious and sadistic team of Dudley Boyz may be returning to the WWE amidst rumors hinting that TNA may be going under.
Whether it is for random WrestleMania appearances or to just help elevate some younger talent, WWE is no stranger to bringing back former big names. Most recently, wrestling fans were treated to the huge return of "The Icon" Sting during WrestleMania 31; the same match saw the return of DX along with other older stars.
That being said, the case of Dave Batista was a perfect example for how to not book a return. This was not on Dave, but instead on WWE for his booking. Unfortunately for Dave, fans took booking issues out on Batista, which obviously was not fair, Inquisitr noted.
That being said, rumors doing rounds hint yet another useful return could be coming soon.
If reports on Cageside Seats are anything to go by, WWE may be bringing in The Dudley Boyz to have a program with Erick Rowan and Luke Harper, former member of "The Wyatt Family." There is a huge possibility that they have have a big tag team run with the World Wrestling Federation, which is eventually expected to elevate their tag division give the Dudley Boyz their one final run in the WWE before they throw in the towel.
Another report from WrestleZone, however debunked the rumor noting that Bully Ray has actually been backstage at this week's TNA Impact Wrestling television tapings. In addition, Bully Ray was reportedly scheduled to make his TNA return on Friday evening.
Several TNA stars including Jeff Jarrett, Matt Morgan, Vader and Hernandez returned to the six-sided ring this past week alone. However, there is no word on how long these wrestling stars will be with TNA.
Bully Ray's return could be the biggest among all these return.
Meanwhile, Luke Harper and Erick Rowan reunited and started using 3D (The Way) as their finishing maneuver, and this added fuel to speculations hinting that WWE was aiming toward a return of the Dudley Boyz to the company.
Though Bully Ray and Harper did have a number of Twitter exchanges with a lot of fighting words, however the rumored match between the two tags teams at SummerSlam seem to have been thrown out of window as Rowan is injured and is out for a few months.
There is no word on a Devon return.
Several talents have been concerned that TNA may be going under, and rumors hinting about big contracts expiring soon (such as Austin Aries) may not be renewed, further stirred conversations.
