Did Selena Gomez really date DJ Zedd?

Diplo had accused Justin Beiber's ex of playing with the emotion of fans by making them believe she's dating DJ Zedd.

"I'm actually not enemies with Zedd by any means. I just think that he came from such a cool place, and now he's been pegged as a money-maker for a major label to do EDM, which to me isn't even a genre," he said in an interview with Radio.com.

"But they've pegged him for that, they've marketed him, even the fake relationship with Selena Gomez, all the things to sell records took away from the music."

The dating rumors surrounding Selena Gomez and DJ Zedd coincided with their release of their collaboration, "I Want You to Know."

However, in an interview with New Zealand radio show, The Edge Afternoons, Selena Gomez set the records straight on whether she dated DJ Zedd, without really saying anything at the same time.

"He said that was a joke! He said that was a joke 'cause I talked to him. First off, It's very interesting that Diplo would think he knew about my personal life, but he doesn't. I adore Anton [Zedd] a lot and I definitely had a thing with him, which was nice," she said.

Daily Mail noted that the accusation she faked her relationship with DJ Zedd was another blow to Selena Gomez who has been the subject of fat shaming on social media.

"She's also had to deal with plenty of scrutiny over her now former relationship with Justin Bieber, 21, who has pleaded guilty to charges of assault and careless driving from an incident last August in which he crashed a ATV into a photographer's van," the report said.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry also doesn't blame Selena Gomez even if he faked dating DJ Zedd because "at the end of the day she is a business woman - and she clearly knows what she needs to do to keep her name in the news."
