Activision has shared a new one-minute gameplay trailer for the fifth entry in the Tony Hawk's series, "Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5" but the fans aren't quite excited.
The video is backed with punk band Plague Vendor's track "Black Sap Scriptures" and shows skateboarding pros and hidden characters, classic trick combos in brand new levels and tons of skaters are ripping together.
"Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" is slated to arrive in North America on Sept. 29 and Europe on Oct. 2 for PS4 and Xbox One.
According to reports on TheKoalition, "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" revives the signature style of classic Pro Skater in a brand new set of levels with the same acclaimed focus on gutsy objectives and fine-tuned controls including manuals and reverts for endless sessions and high-scoring tricks.
Featuring a comprehensive, seamless online multiplayer allows players to quickly jump into action with up to 20 friends and challengers at one time.
Though "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" offers gamers a familiar environment, the problem of the trailer are too many that fans went as far as comparing it to a PlayStation 2 game, iDigitalTimes noted.
"THPS 5" has several flaws such as "environments are blank, almost empty. Textures and shadows seem practically non-existent in some instances. The skaters' animations are canned. Clothing, hair, doesn't even pretend to move. Physics, always a sticking point in Tony Hawk games, just seem floaty and off in a way that doesn't scream "arcade fun" as much as it does "bad coding,"" according to Forbes.
In addition, the trailer of "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5" shows a variety of tricks in different environment and is mostly similar to 2007's "Tony Hawk's Proving Ground." Gamers still have two months before the official release but as of now, the new trailer has most of them feeling that probably the upcoming game will be a huge disappointment.
