Nikki Reed attended an event without her husband, Ian Somerhalder, for a change as the two seemed to be inseparable following their wedding on April 26.

The "Twilight" star attended the red carpet launch for Bonnie Rose whiskey in Nashville on Monday night.

"The Twilight star looked smashing in a black and white mesh patterned sleeveless pencil dress and white heels, having lost about 160lbs, albeit temporarily," Daily Mail reported.

But "The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder could be forgiven for always wanting to be with Nikki Reed.

In an interview with E! News, he was asked for the sexiest thing he sees when he wakes up in the morning and the actor could only gush about Nikki Reed.

"My wife. The most beautiful human being in the world," he said. "I'm the luckiest man on the planet."

"The Vampire Diaries" star only had good words for Nikki Reed, whom she married in Malibu on April 26.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Ian Somerhalder said, "The amount of compassion fueled by passion that she puts into the world in regards to animals is second to none."

"The Vampire Diaries" star continued, "I mean she changes her house into a rescue and a foster home for so many animals and has taken so much time and energy and money of her own with her family, particularly her mom, to foster animals and make sure that they are safe."

"That in and of itself is really something that solidifies us as a unit that really is an amazing thing to wake up to every morning."

Nikki Reed wore a backless gown for their wedding while Ian Somerhalder wore a white suit in the garden wedding. During the pictorial, Nikki Reed giggled probably out of embarrassment or happiness as she's now finally married to Ian Somerhalder after her divorce to "American Idol" alum Paul McDonald was finalized.
