UFC's most dominant female fighter didn't hold back in addressing Floyd Mayweather as soon as she saw her opening at the annual ESPY Awards.

Ronda Rousey won the Best Fighter award over male contemporaries in UFC fighter Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone, and boxers Gennady Golovkin and Terrance Crawford at the annual ESPY Awards Wednesday, July 15 in Los Angeles.

"Rowdy" even beat out Floyd Mayweather for the Best Fighter award despite his historic victory over Manny Pacquiao in May.

While accepting the award, Rousey said she wondered how Mayweather felt about getting "beat by a woman for once."

Mayweather, who has drawn headlines outside the ring for several domestic-violence incidents and arrests, said he wasn't familiar with Rousey in a controversial interview.

"I'd like to see you pretend not to know who I am now," Rousey said, referring to the interview.

Ronda Rousey capped Serena Williams, skier Lindsey Vonn and Connecticut's three-time NCAA champion Breanna Stewart for the award to take home the Best Female Athlete ESPY, according to reports on ESPN.

Ronda Rousey (11-0, 5-0 UFC) who is undefeated in her pro MMA career, is not accustomed to losing. Last year Rousey walked away with the Best Female Athlete award, but lost out on the Best Fighter award to none other than Floyd Mayweather. But now, just one year later, Rowdy finally has her revenge, Yahoo Sports noted.

Rousey will be fighting Bethe Correia on Aug. 1 in Rio de Janeiro. The reigning UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion is coming off an epic 14-second submission win against Cat Zingano at UFC 184 on Feb. 28.

It marked Rousey's fifth title defense and also the quickest finish ever in a UFC title fight. The ESPYS was hosted by actor Joel McHale. Fan voting for the 23rd annual ESPYS was conducted online and it was based on performance spanning the past 12 months.
