Jeffrey Dean Morgan has joined "The Good Wife" season 7 and while various speculations and spoilers alleged that he's going to be the love interest of Alicia, the actor opted to play coy when he was directly asked the question.
Will his character and Alicia hook up? He replied, "I don't know. I haven't been told that. I know there's a lot of speculation."
"She's going to hire him, so, yeah, they do hit it off. She's intrigued by his personality," he added.
And it's perfect timing, too, as Florrick, Agos & Lockhart has no more investigator now that Kalinda has left.
The veteran actor teased "The Good Wife" spoilers regarding his character to TVLine,"I can tell you that he's an ex-lawyer who got into some trouble and finds himself now being an investigator. He's got a laid-back personality and a quick wit," he said. "I like that kind of dynamic. And I think it will be a nice dynamic for Julianna to play off of."
The victimhood made her saintly. Now because of the public knowledge of her affairs, of her supposedly stealing the election, all that has made everybody look at her as scandal-ravaged.
Meanwhile, showrunners Robert and Michelle King dished "The Good Wife" to The Hollywood Reporter as they said that the scandal last season involving Alicia will rock her to the core.
"It's made her more humbled," Robert King said. "One of the things we're looking at with the finale is the way she was when she first started out in the law, and how much her ideas of the law have changed. In many ways, there's kind of an urge to use her new maturity and her new understanding of the law to help people that otherwise she would have just ignored."
He continued, "The Lockhart, Agos & Lee [firm] that she just left doesn't take clients that are below a certain strata. Alicia is going to be much more like the TV show The Practice where she will take cases from the lower classes."
Wait for more "The Good Wife" season 7 spoilers which will be published here when they come along, ahead of the airing date on Oct. 4.
