Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith just finalized their divorce after 20 years of being married.
According to Hollywood Life, the two filed for divorce in June 2014 and have been negotiating terms since then. The divorce is reportedly amicable, and Melanie Griffith is looking for spousal report for the "Desperado"actor.
"It's been over for a while," a source close to the actor told People. "There's not a lot of drama with the two of them. They're at the point where they can be civil to each other. They're doing this in a healthy way. I know that Antonio is looking forward to the next chapter in his life."
Just a couple of days before the finalization of his divorce broke, Antonio Banderas was spotted with his girlfriend, Nicole Kimpel, at his hometown in Malaga, Spain. The actor was purportedly shooting a promotional video for Malaga and Nicole kept him company.
According to Daily Mail, Antonio's girlfriend is a Dutch investment banker 20 years his junior.
Antonio Banderas was also seen with his girlfriend when he received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Platino Awards in Marbella last weekend. Nicole wore a sheer gown with green details showcasing her arms and lean legs.
Is 57-year-old Melanie Griffith insecure of Antonio Banderas' girlfriend? It may be hard to conclude at this moment, but the actor previously dished out that he and Melanie don't have any plans of being estranged to each other.
"We're going to keep seeing each other. We will continue. The family isn't dead, not at all.," Antonio Banderas told Spanish-language magazine ¡Hola! In January, as quoted by People.
The actor also talked about his and Melanie Griffith's latest movie together, "Automata."
"It's curious because Melanie and I met as actors [on 1995's Two Much], and then for the 20 years of our relationship we didn't shoot together. Then, at the end of our relationship, we're back together again on the screen.
"At the end, there's a moment where she tells me 'Goodbye, Jacq Vaucan,' and I say 'Goodbye Cleo,' and that somehow is the close of our relationship."
