Jeremy Lin promised to bring back a version of Linsanity when he dons on the Charlotte Hornets uniform as the point guard shared the news that his younger brother Joseph is playing in Taiwan's Super Basketball League.

In the press conference organized by Charlotte Hornets welcoming Jeremy Lin to the team, he said, "I want to get back to what makes me what I am as a player, which is being aggressive, being on the attack and always charging toward the rim. I think that will help create easier shots for this team."

Last season, Jeremy Lin averaged 11 points, 4.8 assists and 2.6 rebounds for the Los Angeles Lakers. During the off season, he signed a $4.3-M contract with the Charlotte Hornets for two years.

"Just having that open line of communication early and being proactive about it was very big for me," he said, talking about Charlotte Hornets coach Steve Clifford.

Jeremy Lin continued, "Very excited. Can't wait to get going. I just felt like this is going to be a great fit for me. What I bring to the table is what i think this team needs."

Meanwhile, Jeremy Lin's brother is also trying to carve a career in basketball and Linsanity has hinted that he might be playing for a Taiwanese squad.

According to Asia One News, Jeremy Lin has posted a picture of him working out with his younger sibling, Joseph.

In a post written in Mandarin, but translated by the website, the new point guard for the Charlotte Hornets said, "I feel extremely proud to see he worked so hard this summer."

Joseph Lin, three inches shorter to Jeremy Lin's 6-3 frame, graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, NY this year.

"According to statistics available at the Hamilton College website, the younger Lin played 72 games for Hamilton, 10 of them as a starting guard," it said. "Lin left with an average of 4.4 points per game, 2 assists and 2 rebounds per game during his college career."
