The members of ZE:A continue to attract positive attention through their displays of talent in K-Dramas, film and variety shows.
On July 28, Newsen published a report which announced that Dongjun (Kim Dongjun) would star in an upcoming Hollywood-Korean co-production. This casting follows his solid performance in the ensemble comedy, "Boarding House #24."
Siwan (Yim Siwan) garnered praise through his performance in the gripping film, "The Attorney," before wowing audiences in the office procedural series, "Misaeng."
Park Hyung Sik exemplifies the ability of ZE:A members to seamlessly segue from the variety show circuit to become a sought-after leading man. His recent performance in "High Society" captured the hearts of K-Drama fans, due to his earnest portrayal of a character that could have been stereotypical.
While ZE:A excels within the variety show sector as a group, Hwang Kwanghee has transitioned from hosting music chart shows to his role as a bonafide member of the Infinite Challenge team as the sixth man.
ZE:A debuted in 2010 with the "Mazel Tov." The nine-member group gained relative popularity through their Mnet variety show and delivery of guerilla performances, which garnered attention.
Under the auspices of Star Empire Entertainment, the group is one of the prime examples of the potential of K-pop to present well-rounded and talented idols through the mediums of acting or variety show appearances.
What are your thoughts on Park Hyung Sik's recent performance in "High Society?" Do you think ZE:A is one of the best groups to segue from music to acting and variety shows? Please comment below.
