Kit Harington was reportedly spotted hanging around with another "Game of Thrones" cast, fueling speculations that Jon Snow isn't really dead despite all the previous interviews from producers to the contrary.
A report from the fan site Watchers of the Wall showed the British hunk with Nathalie Emmanuel inside a restaurant in Belfast.
It pointed out that Kit Harington hasn't really cut the long locks that Jon Snow sports in "Game of Thrones. Also, the 28-year-old actor was also staying in Banbridge, Northern Ireland as reported by a tweet from user Jan Gilmore on July 29.
"Banbridge is home to the Linen Mill Studios where Thrones films every year. A pretty good indicator that he's sticking around!" the fan site added.
Despite all speculations, however, HBO programming chief Michael Lombardo confirmed to CNN that Kit Harington's Jon Snow is not coming back to "Game of Thrones."
"In everything I've seen, heard or read, Jon Snow is indeed dead," he said.
Lombardo explained that major characters dying is par for the course for "Game of Thrones."
He said, "This show has had violence as part of one of its many threads from the first episode. I can't speak to any single person's particular taste ... I think the show is phenomenal. It hit 20 million viewers this year ..."
"And I'll be honest you with you, I think there are no two showrunners who are more careful about not overstepping what they think the line is - and everyone has their own line, I understand - but doing things that are critical for the storytelling and I support them fully artistically."
HBO has confirmed that "Game of Thrones" will run until season 8, at the very least, and not just season 7 as earlier rumored.
In another interview with Entertainment Weekly, Michael Lombardo said, "The question is: How much beyond seven are we going to do? Obviously we're shooting six now, hopefully discussing seven. [Showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss are] feel like there's two more years after six. I would always love for them to change their minds, but that's what we're looking at right now."
