One Direction member Louis Tomlinson broke his silence over having a baby with Briana Jungwirth during an interview with Good Morning America on Tuesday.

In the interview, host Michael Strahan asked the 23-year-old, "Louis, from one father to another I want to congratulate you on your upcoming fatherhood. So how are you feeling?"

Louis Tomlinson replied, "Thank you. Obviously it's a very exciting time, so I'm buzzing."

The news about Briana Jungwirth carrying a baby and Louis Tomlinson was the father was reported on July 14.

A source told Us Weekly, "Louis didn't expect this, but he's excited for it now. He's become very close friends with Briana this year and now they are looking forward to being parents. He's definitely going to be there and be a great dad for their baby."

At this point, Louis Tomlinson and Brian Jungwirth are not a couple despite having a baby together. But reportedly, the One Direction member is already scouting for houses in Los Angeles area where she could live and probably raise their kid.

His bandmate, Liam Payne, also expressed excitement over the baby news.

Interviewed on Magic UK radio station Liam Payne told the host, "Well, obviously I was a bit shocked, but he's taken super well to it."

"He's very excited with what's going on with him at the moment and I feel that stuff like that happens sometimes. He's taking it very seriously."

Liam Payne also approved of Briana Jingworth by saying, "Yeah she's really nice, she's a lovely girl."

Meanwhile, E! News reported that fans are still on denial over the Louis Tomlinson and Briana Jingworth baby news despite his interview on Good Morning America.

The article claimed that some fans went so far as to say the whole interview was staged as part of the plan to drag the issue to promote One Direction's track, "Drag Me Down."
