The latest "The Blacklist" season 3 spoilers revealed that a new cast member will be introduced in the premiere episode. Edi Gathegi has already been confirmed to take the role of Mr. Solomon, who will go after Liz (Megan Boone) and Red (James Spader) for Cabal.
In the last episode, viewers saw Liz and Red go on the run after shooting the Attorney General. It was said that the duo will be blindsided as they do not realize that its not only the Feds who are after them.
"There's a character named Mr. Solomon who is going to be entering the landscape and is not friendly in any way to Liz or Red or the people they care about," executive producer John Elisendrath told TV Guide.
The showrunner added that the new cast member will put Red in a "very vulnerable position that could compromise everyone's safety." It has been confirmed that they have already signed "Twilight" actor Edi Gathegi for the role.
Revealing a few "The Blacklist" season 3 spoilers himself, creator Jon Bokenkamp shared that fans may see more of Liz's backstory in the coming episodes.
"We are going to see glimpses of a criminal past that we've hinted at before," he told the publication.
"In the pilot, Red said, 'Think like a criminal. It may come easier to you than you think.' We're going to see whispers of her past and how that sort of thinking may be useful in some of these desperate situations."
Meanwhile, Megan Boone also hinted that the upcoming season will be very different than what fans saw in the previous seasons. She said that they will see a different side of Liz in the coming episodes.
"Season 3 is going to be the same characters but a different show, a very different dynamic because now Liz Keen is no longer working within the law," she told Zap2It.
"With 22 episodes a year, it does benefit the show to have some kind of a formula but we are going to sort of break open a lot of the structure of the show."
