It certainly not love at first sight between Iggy Azalea and Nick Young; in fact, it was the other way around.

"[We'd met] a few years prior to that, and I didn't know and I hated him," she told Daily Telegraph. "I thought he was an a****le."

Nick Young actually made the first move. Well, sort of.

The Los Angeles Lakers player wrote a tweet saying that he has a crush on the rapper.

Iggy Azalea said, "One of my guy friends actually brought it to my attention. He's friends with Nick also, and he was like, 'Oh, did you see my boy Nick has a crush on you?' I was like: 'Oh, OK, he's kind of cute.' And he was really pushing the issue."

The "Fancy" rapper continued, "He was like, 'You've got to go on a date with him! He's a great guy!' I thought he was pretty handsome, so I went on a date with him."

Iggy Azalea recounted that she met fiance Nick Young before when she went to a pool party teeming with basketball players.

"I didn't want to get in because I thought they were all arseholes," she said. "I came with all my friends, and I got in a taxi and left early because I felt like these guys are just arsehole basketball [players]."

Apparently, Nick Young wasn't special because Iggy Azalea hated all the basketball players back then.

"And now I love all of them. When I figured it out, I think I was already in love with him," she added of his fiance. "So it worked out! Lucky I didn't remember him, because we wouldn't have got the opportunity for a second chance."

Nick Young proposed to Iggy Azalea on his 30th birthday and the couple is set to visit her hometown of New South Wales in Australia in August, said Daily Mail.
