Tennis ace Serena Williams and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou are the team to beat at the Rogers Cup, as Caroline Wozniacki's BFF showed off both power and flexibility in a fashion cover shoot.
Daniel Nugent-Bowman wrote for Yahoo Sports, "There is simply no one that can beat Williams when she's on her game. Oh, and that's been a common theme this season."
"The veteran American holds a 40-1 record in WTA events this season and has claimed the first three majors. She has double the amount of WTA points than No. 2 Maria Sharapova, who won't be in Toronto because of a leg injury."
After a couple of years of slump, Serena Williams found her game again when he teamed up with coach and rumored boyfriend Patrick Mouratoglou as the world's number one is looking to become the most dominant female tennis athlete of all time.
Even her biggest challengers so far would be BFF Caroline Wozniacki, Simona Halep, Petra Kvitova and Agnieszka Radwanska are not expected to give her an issue.
For one, "Wozniacki hasn't played since Wimbledon where she fell in the final to eventual finalist Garbine Muguruza. Still, the former No. 1 and fourth seed presents Serena Williams's greatest challenge on her half of the draw. They could meet in the semifinals," he added.
"On the bottom half, Kvitova, the 2014 Wimbledon champ, is the only player to knock off Williams this season. Kvitova beat her in straight sets in Madrid in May," the article added.
While Serena Williams and "boyfriend" Patrick Mouratoglou are inseparable on court, the fashion world has become solely her domain.
The tennis ace graced the cover of New York magazine dressed in a black gown as she looks off into the distance in the glamor shoot.
"Inside the issue, Williams sports a very revealing look while doing the splits. The midriff-baring leotard shows off Williams' insanely muscular body as she is suspended in mid-air with her long legs split apart," said E! News.
