The latest “Arrow” season 4 spoilers revealed that Oliver (Stephen Amell) will get a new love interest in the premiere episode. “Supernatural” star Elysia Rotaru has just been signed to play a recurring role in the next season as Oliver’s new lady love.

In the season 3 finale, fans saw Oliver and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) put an end to their relationship. Executive producer Marc Guggenheim, however, explained that Rotaru will only appear in flashbacks.

"Oliver is gonna have a love interest in the past that will serve as a parallel or potentially a contrast to his love affair with Felicity in the present," he told Entertainment Weekly.

Revealing more "Arrow" season 4 spoilers, the showrunner added that fans of Felicity should not worry as the two could eventually get back together. Before that happens, the couple will reportedly experience several struggles in their relationship.

"We have a really great surprise for the season premiere for the flashbacks, and it's made talking about the flashbacks very difficult," he told the publication.

"We pick up basically in real time. It's been a number of months later since the last flashback. Oliver is in Coast City, as eagle-eyed viewers noted when he boarded the boat at the end of season 3."

Meanwhile, it has also been revealed that Thea (Willa Holland) will also get a new love interest in the following episodes. "Enlisted" star Parker Young also landed a recurring role in the series, reported Entertainment Tonight.

The publication reported that since Thea's former boyfriend Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) left the show last season it may be time to get a new cast member. Although Haynes' exit surprised fans, executive producer Greg Berlanti shared that the actor actually just joined the series on a trial basis.

"It was super sad, but everybody kinda looked at each other and realized that he's at the start of, what I'm sure will be, an incredibly, incredibly impressive career. It's great that he gets to go on and have that and we got to have him while we did," the showrunner told Buzzfeed.
