Margot Robbie has been spending a lot of time on the set of "Suicide Squad" where she plays the role of Harley Quinn.

Shooting for "Suicide Squad" has reportedly been taxing, both physically and emotionally, for its cast members.

Last week, it was reported that Margot Robbie was spotted in Toronto with bruised legs. It was unclear whether she got them on set while playing Harley Quinn.

"It appears Margot rolled up the right side of her shorts so that the material didn't put pressure on one of her bruises," Daily Mail reported. "The blonde beauty also had bruises on her right knee."

It's unclear how Margot Robbie got the bruises, but it may not be hard to believe that Harley Quinn may have had to do some action-filled scenes on the set, causing the bruises.

Aside from the physical challenges of making the movie, playing the role of supervillains also reportedly requires a lot of emotional effort and energy.

According to E! Online's previous report, "Suicide Squad" director David Ayer called a therapist on board for the entire cast.

"David Ayer is about realism," Adam Beach, who plays Slipnot in the film, told Marc Malkin of E!.

"So if your character is tormented, he wants you to torment yourself. He wants the real thing ... We kind of have like a therapist on board if you fall off the wagon and really are villainous. There's a friend of [Ayer's] that's very unique in making sure we have our ground."

With the demands and challenges of playing Harley Quinn, Margot Robbie may have a lot on her plate right now as her other movie, "Z for Zachariah" hits theaters on Aug. 28.

The Australian-born actress reportedly underwent a makeunder for the film.

"The role required the 25-year-old Aussie stunner to go for a much more natural look - which meant losing her golden blonde hair and paring back the makeup," News.com.au reported.

"While it's a stark contrast to the slick looks 'The Wolf Of Wall Street' star's usually rocking on the red carpet, Margot still manages to look just as beautiful."

"Z for Zachariah" revolves around a love triangle between two men and a woman - the only three survivors of a catastrophe that erased civilization.
