Jennifer Lawrence's mother is reportedly causing tension between the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star and her beau, Chris Martin.

According to the latest edition of In Touch magazine, as shared by CDL, Jennifer Lawrence's mom, Karen, is moving into her new $15-million condo in Tribeca, New York.

That allegedly didn't sit well with Chris Martin, who thought that the condo is going to be their little hideaway whenever he's in town. The Coldplay singer has his own home in Malibu.

"Jen quickly let him know that one room is reserved for Karen. And that has stirred up lots of old drama," a source told In Touch. "Chris doesn't love Karen because she wanted Jen to get back together with her ex Nicholas Hoult."

The source continued, "And Karen is wary of how close Chris is to his ex Gwyneth Paltrow. She would lie to see Jen with a younger guy who doesn't come with the baggage of two kids."

In October last year, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" star purchased Jessica Simpson's old house in Beverly Hills for $8.2 million.

Celebrity Dirty Laundry noted that it's never a good thing when the mother gets in between the relationship, and Jennifer Lawrence is bound to choose family first which puts her relationship with Chris Martin in peril.

Back in March, Life & Style Weekly reported that Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence are moving in together in his Malibu home.

The source alleged, "Now that he's finally divorced from Gwyneth, he's finally committed to making things work with Jen. He wants her to know how serious he is about her. She loves how peaceful and secluded it is. She says it feels more like home than her own place."

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin have been rumored to be on-and-off since they were reported to be dating last year. The two private persons, however, have not confirmed nor denied the various reports regarding their relationship.
