A search warrant had been summoned by the Los Angeles Police Department at the Beverly Hills house of Kiss Bassist Gene Simmons on Thursday, said NBC News. The LAPD authorities have said neither he nor any of his family members are a suspect in the investigation.
L.A. Police Department has not yet disclosed the details of the investigation carried out by their Internet Crimes against Children Task Force.
The police told ABC News, that Simmons' family members were very cooperative with the authorities, when the searched their L.A. home.
"Today (Aug. 20, 2015) members of the Los Angeles Police Department visited Mr. And Mrs. Simmons at their home to discuss a crime that may have occurred on their property last year while Mr. Simmons was away on tour with KISS, said the Simmons family representative in a statement.
"Neither Mr. Simmons nor any member of his family is a person of interest in the investigation and they are cooperating fully with the investigation. At this time, the police have requested that Mr. Simmons and his family not discuss the investigation publicly so as not to compromise it", ABC7 reported.
The wife of Kiss Bassist Gene Simmons Shannon T Simmons took to twitter to thank the family's well-wishers for their support. "We couldn't be more horrified that someone used our residence for such heinous crimes. Law enforcement is on it." Shannon tweeted. Her daughter, Sophie Tweed-Simmons also tweeted similar sentiments.
ABC News said, that Kiss Bassist Gene Simmons had retweeted all the articles that clear him and his family of any misconduct from his official account. Reporters say that he had also added "For the Record" on one of them.
Co-founder and front man of rock band Kiss, juggles many hats including that of a successful song writer and record producer. Kiss bassist Gene Simmons has also starred in A and E's reality TV show "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" along with his wife and two children, states CNN News.
