After much hewing and hawing, 5SOS Ashton Irwin finally admitted that he's hanging out with previously rumored girlfriend Bryana Holly.

In an interview with Sugarscape, per Unreality TV, the handsome drummer said, "I went into the desert with my girlfriend at the time for two days or something, and I was like 'Okay, I have to be back by Monday morning because I have a writing session at John's.'"

The interview was his way of explaining how the 5SOS' single, "She's Kinda Hot," was created.

Ashton Irwin has been skirting the rumors about dating Bryana Holly for a long time as the 5SOS had a standing "no girlfriend rule."

Aside from the drummer dating Bryana Holly, Calum Hood was also rumored to be dating Aussie girl Jennifer Phipps, 22.

Aside from admitting that Bryana Holly is her girlfriend, Ashton Irwin also tackled the sensitive issue of depression as the 5SOS drummer gave some meaningful advice to people who suffer from mental depression.

He tweeted, "Some days your head will be a whirlpool of depression and anxiety! In those days you gotta breath & focus on everything great in life!"

Ashton Irwin continued, "You aren't on your own!!! You can find the greatest things in life in the smallest and simplest things, you just gotta take a moment."

"This isn't the first time he's opened up like this on Twitter and only a couple of months ago, he shared some advice for any of his followers battling bullies and negativity," said Sugarscape.

In that Twitter post, Ashton Irwin wrote, "No matter how nasty people are in life... Show kindness, smile through it and love, laugh, be good people, just cause you can."

In an interview with Rolling Stone, 5SOS drummer Ashton Irwin admitted that girlfriend Bryana Holly is his inspiration in making music.

He said, "The place itself [Los Angeles] feels really magical... I even met a girl over there and fell in love. Things like that contributed to making this album. It felt unreal, and before we knew it, we'd recorded everything and it was time to go on tour."
