The Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux wedding was quite a shocker to the their fans. It came amidst the rumors of the two splitting up.
Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux had a "surprise" wedding at the Bel Air mansion in California on August 5. They exchanged their vows in front of about 70 of their closest friends and family members.
Jennifer had told her celebrity friends that she was throwing a surprise 44th birthday bash for Justin, reported TMZ. Reporters said that their friends Howard Stern, Sia, Lisa Kudrow, John Krasinki and Chelsea Handler showed up.
But TMZ claimed that they had spotted a "wedding-ish" cake going into the house on that Wednesday afternoon. The two Muppets sitting on top of Justin's birthday cake, made them dig in a little further. Later, a pastor with a bible walked into the mansion. This was enough to spread the big news.
People reported that a large wooden deck had been set up in the mansion's backyard to seat 74 guests. A stage had been raised on an end opposite to a bar.
"It was always called a birthday party," Radio host Howard Stern told his million listeners. He added, "Whenever you got an email, it was a birthday party. They're so secretive that they even had the (Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux) wedding on a Wednesday because nobody gets married on a Wednesday...Everything is always top secret."
After the wedding, the newlyweds took off to Bora Bora for their honeymoon.
"I'm very happy," Theroux told People Magazine when he broke the silence about the Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux wedding.
He added, "It's nice to be able to look down and see a new piece of jewelry on my finger," while pointing at his new wedding band.
Jennifer told E!News that she felt "quite natural" after getting married to her longtime love.
