Maria Sharapova showed former boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov what he's missing as the tennis ace glammed up for Wednesday's event for the 2015 American Express Rally in New York.
"Maria was a stylish sight in a black lace top over loosely fitting black trousers that were cuffed at the ankles to reveal a pair of T-strap black stilettos," said Daily Mail. "While many would be reticent to wear such high heels to a tennis game, the blonde 28-year-old WTA pro didn't hold back and enjoyed taking a few swings in her fancy footwear."
With her 6'2" frame, Maria Sharapova's frame could translate to modeling industry.
And it seems the no. 3 women's tennis player is doing very well for herself despite the split from boyfriend Grigor Dimitrov as she actually earns more from commercial endorsements than the purse she takes home from playing.
According to Forbes, she earned $29.5 million in 2015 but only $6.7 of that figure comes from tennis, the rest are endorsements.
"The Roland Garros title kicked in valuable bonuses from sponsors Nike and Head," the article said. "Other major endorsement partners include Avon Products (new in 2014), Samsung, Tag Heuer and Evian. Sharapova launched her own candy line, Sugarpova, in 2012. Sales doubled in the past year to more than three million bags of candy."
Maria Sharapova also took to fashion as she designs the Nike attires that she wore in her tennis matches.
In designing, she said, "I like to play with color, I don't like crazy patterns. For me a piece is all about the details you see when you're holding it and about making those seams and binds where you don't have a lot of stitching going on, where you have a mesh material that actually feels soft and not like a real mesh."
Grigor Dimitrov confirmed the split from Maria Sharapova during a July 24 press conference as he said, "Our paths split. We experienced wonderful moments together. I wish her much happiness and success in life and in tennis."
