5SOS drummer Ashton Irwin poked fun at himself after chipping a tooth during a performance in Pennsylvania over the Weekend.
The Aussie took to Twitter to write, "Chipped a tooth tonight, I went hard out lol... Thank you Hershey park, it was a night I'll remember forever ..."
One fan quipped, "Oh my god, I guess you could say you rocked out 'tooth' hard. I'm just gonna let myself out now."
Another asked, "how did you chip your tooth omg ... like did you hit your tooth with a drum stick or something I'm confused (?)"
One fan has an explanation, "he probably hit himself w the drumstick.. again."
Ashton Irwin can laugh off chipping a tooth since 5SOS won the 2015 Video Music Awards Song of Summer gong for their song, "She's Kinda Hot."
The drummer certainly deserves a pat on the back as he was instrumental in the production of "She's Kinda Hot."
In an interview with Sugarscape, per Unreality TV, he explained how the song came about.
"I went into the desert with my girlfriend at the time for two days or something, and I was like 'Okay, I have to be back by Monday morning because I have a writing session at John's.'"
In an interview with Rolling Stone, 5SOS drummer Ashton Irwin admitted that Bryana Holly is his inspiration in making music. He said, "The place itself [Los Angeles] feels really magical... I even met a girl over there and fell in love. Things like that contributed to making this album. It felt unreal, and before we knew it, we'd recorded everything and it was time to go on tour."
5SOS, however, was heaped with abuse online following their VMA 2015 win, said UnrealityTV.
The website pointed to a tweet from Ashton Irwin where he addressed the haters, "And here we see some disgusting human beings that haven't been taught how to lose gracefully. #CONGRATS5SOS."
