Many fans are excited over news that "The Notebook" will be turned into a TV series, as reported by E! Online.
The novel was first brought to life in by Ryan Gosling Rachel McAdams in 2004, in a movie directed by Nick Cassavetes.
Now, Nicolas Sparks will be the executive producer of "The Notebook" TV series which will reportedly be handled by Nicholas Sparks Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
Though there is yet to be any news about who will star on "The Notebook" TV series, many fans are hoping that Nina Dobrev would play the role of Allie, originally portrayed by Rachel McAdams in the movie.
Nina Dobrev is also included in the list "The Notebook TV Show: 31 Casting Choices For Noah and Allie" by Maggie Pehanick, published in Pop Sugar.
"Now that Dobrev has exited The Vampire Diaries, she may be looking for a new role! OK, probably not on another drama on The CW, but a girl (me) can dream," Pehanick wrote.
Nina Dobrev landing a role in "The Notebook" TV series may not be impossible at all, especially since the former TVD star is quite popular with CW executives.
In fact, CW execs have previously expressed their desire to have her back on "The Vampire Diaries."
"We would have loved Nina to stay," CW president Mike Pedowitz previously said, as quoted by People. "She did a great job for the six years she was on the show. She is welcome back any time she wants to come back."
However, there are speculations that Nikki Reed would not be happy about the possibility of Ian Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend returning to co-star with him on "The Vampire Diaries."
Will "The Notebook" TV series be Nina Dobrev's next big project after leaving the teen vampire series? Fans will have to wait for official news from CW to find out.
