It's the "Beginning of the End" for "Black Sabbath". They have recently announced their Farewell tour 2016, "The End."

The British heavy metal pioneers announced that "The End" would kick-off with a North American leg on January 20, 2016 in Omaha, Nebraska. Next, they would perform at the Madison Square Garden in New York, according to the ABC News.

The Guardian reported that the band had announced 24 dates for the tour. As per the schedule, the band would run through Chicago, Minneapolis, Vancouver, Edmonton, Los Angeles, Denver, Detroit and Montreal. A brief tour of New Zealand and Australia has also been lined up for April '16.

"Black Sabbath" line up for their Farewell Tour in 2016 would include only three of the group's four original members. Singer Ozzy Osbourne, bassist Geezer Butler and guitarist Tony Lommi would be a part of "The End."

According to the Billboard, Drummer Bill Ward would not be joining the "Black Sabbath" Farewell Tour 2016. Back in April '15, Ward said he needed a "singable contract" to rejoin the group. He also said that Ozzy's statement had caused him to become guarded and emotionally as well as spiritually detached from the "Black Sabbath".

"It (Black Sabbath Farewell Tour) promises to surpass all previous tours with their most mesmerizing production ever," a voiceover said on a video announcement of the band's website. "When the tour concludes, it will truly be the end," he added.

Surprisingly, "The End" tour doesn't have any shows in Europe. Not even a feature in the band's native city of Birmingham, England, reported The Guardian.

Last April, the group's flamboyant frontman Ozzy had said that the "Black Sabbath" planned to release his final album at Brazil's Monsters of Rock Festival.

"We all live in different countries now," Ozzy said. "Some want to work, some don't. We are going to do another tour together... The plan is that next year [we'll do] the final Black Sabbath tour and album."

"When this tour concludes, it will truly be THE END, THE END of one of the most legendary bands in Rock 'n' Roll history," Black Sabbath said in a statement about their farewell tour 2016.
