Many musicians do Aerosmith covers, but only a lucky few get to sing along with "Aerosmith" singer Steven Tyler himself. A street performer in Moscow got a golden opportunity to sing "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" with the frontman-turned country-singer.
According to Steven's tweet, he was in Moscow on September 2, 2015 to celebrate the city's 868th birthday. At Moscow's Arbat Promenade, Alexander Anisimovfor got the surprise of a lifetime when Tyler, who fronts Aerosmith, walked up to him for an impromptu duet.
Arbat is one of the city's most renowned walkways. It is bustling with shops, eateries and occasional rock musicians, who were an attraction throughout the decade, even before the restaurants started opening.
Daily Mail reported that the band was on a tour in Moscow and had attracted over 100,000 people to their gigs. But, the "Aerosmith" singer Steven Tyler decided to perform for some non-ticket holders too on Friday.
The 67-year-old singer didn't put much emphasis on getting the lyrics of his song right. He just made up a couple of new ones on the spot while strumming along with the lucky busker. Like a gentleman, Steven encouraged the guitarist to join them for the chorus and then graciously dropped into the harmonies.
But, the pressure of performing along the legendary rocker, forced him to negotiate the music. Steven tried to guide him through the song's bridge, but he was happy to continue plugging through the chorus. When, Tyler sensed that he was running out of landing room, he jumped back in and guided him to the end.
"Aerosmith" singer Steven Tyler rewarded the street artist's effort with a high five and his floppy hat.
"I didn't recognize him at all," the busker told the Komsomolskaya Pravda Newspaper. "A foreigner came up to me and started singing along. ...But when he started to sing louder and more confidently, it dawned on me who it was."
"I was stunned," he said after his performance with the legendary "Aerosmith" singer Steven Tyler.
