The latest "Girl Meets World" season 2 episode 17 spoilers hinted that the popular Disney Channel series will tackle a very sensitive topic, Asperger's syndrome.

In the coming episode titled "Girl Meets Farkle," Farkle Minkus (Corey Fogelmanis) will find out whether or not he has Asperger's syndrome. It was said that it would be a very special show as it attempts to address a disorder that more than 3.5 million Americans face every day.

"Girl Meets World" season 2 episode 17 spoilers indicate that the producers wanted to teach the viewers about acceptance and compassion.

"Farkle is the son of Stuart Minkus (Lee Norris) and Jennifer Bassett Minkus (Kristanna Loken), and both characters will appear in the episode to support their son," reported Bustle.

"In fact, Farkle's entire friends group will research Asperger's in order to better support their friend if his suspicions turn out to be true."

The publication pointed out that the Disney Channel series has veered away from dealing with such serious topics in the past. They claimed that it was a huge step for the show to tackle such heavy storylines.

"It shows a great amount of foresight for the show to take care in how they tell this story given the potential impact it could have on the audience," the author noted.

"Seeing him face a potential life-altering diagnosis should make the subject of Asperger's something families can talk about and explore on their own."

It was also pointed out that not a lot of series have tried to take on the topic of Asperger's Syndrome. Fans of "The Big Bang Theory" and "Community" had longed wanted an episode dedicated to the condition but to no avail.

To ensure that the series would deliver an authentic storyline, the writers consulted three experts on the show, reported Zap2It. They want the game-changing episode to spark conversation among kids and their families.
