DC's "Legends of Tomorrow's" Hawkman and Hawkgirl would be making their debut in the crossover episodes of "The Flash" and "Arrow," Variety reported. Reports said that the part of Hawkman aka Carter Hall would be played by "French Kiss" actor Falk Hentschel, while Model Ciara Renee would be playing the Hawkgirl aka Kendra Saunders in the spinoff series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."
Hawkman and Hawkgirl would be soul mates and reincarnations of Ancient Egyptian gods. They would reportedly re-embody though time as winged and helmeted warriors to defeat an eternal danger, Comingsoon.net reported.
MTV News reported that actor Ray Palmer had been cast as Brandon Routh for the popular spinoff series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow." Reports said that Caity Lotz would be playing the part of "White Canary" and actor Arthur Darwill would be portraying the time traveller "Rip Hunter."
"For us, first and foremost, with all (our shows), it's about 'how is it its own thing?'" Greg Berlanti, the executive producer said. He added, "Because we don't just want to do it to do it."
Berlanti compared "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" to old Western heist movies like "The Magnificent Seven" and the "Ocean's Eleven." He further said that the show would feature a lot of "lone gunmen" and "sheriffs in town."
"When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends," Comingsoon.net reported. Their report revealed that Rip Hunter would be tasked to assemble a group of heroes (including "DC's Legends of Tomorrow's" Hawkman and Hawkgirl) as well as villains to confront an inexorable threat. The threat would not only endanger the planet, but "all of time" itself, the reporters told. "DC's Legends of Tomorrow's" multifarious team would work together to defeat an immortal threat.
"DC's Legends of Tomorrow's" Hawkman and Hawkgirl's parts have been lifted off the DC comics. The upcoming series hails from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television and Berlanti Productions.
"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" would premiere midseason on The CW.
