The manner in which Alicia Florrick was forced out of politics left a bad taste in her mouth and the spoilers for "The Good Wife" season 7 seems to suggest that she's still bitter about it.
A video clip promoting the upcoming seventh season teased spoilers for "The Good Wife."
While Peter wants to become the vice president of the country, don't expect Alicia Florrick to be by his side helping him in his campaign.
In the clip, Alicia was asked by Willa Eastman, the campaign manager of Margo Martindale, "Are you saying you wouldn't be involved in your husband's campaign?"
Alicia is quite adamant as she replies, "Yes!"
"Also in the trailer: Alicia calls someone 'the devil' (although whether that's a compliment or an insult remains to be seen); Peter gets scolded about making his 'worst enemy;' and Eli declares that he is "changing like a butterfly" (much to the shock of his right-hand woman Nora)," reported TVLine.
Alicia has a lot of axe to grind with all her perceived enemy after having just lost the State Attorney's position after she was accused of stealing votes.
"In previous episodes, the Democratic Party requested her to step down despite her innocence in order to help save the Democratic majority in the state senate election where popularity votes are the most important. She later discovered that voting machines were deliberately programmed to move votes to her name, entirely without her consent," Christian Today said.
But of course, Alicia declining to stand by Peter's side might just be her way of avoiding bringing back bad memories. The last time Peter called for a press conference with his wife beside him was when he resigned to spend time in prison.
Watch out for more "The Good Wife" season 7 spoilers which will be published here when they become available.
