The new "The Jungle Book" is a fresh take on the Disney animated feature film from 1967. It is also linked to a book by Rudyard Kipling. Currently, there are two "Jungle Book" adaptations in the works, and the trailer for Disney's live action version launched recently.
Another adaptation of "Jungle Book" is a performance-capture adaptation directed by Andy Serkis (Gollum of "LOTR"). Disney's "The Jungle Book" will release in April 2016, and is directed by Jon Favreau and stars newcomer Neel Sethi as Mowgli.
The film also has impeccable casting with Bill Murray as the voice of Baloo, Ben Kingsley as Bagheera, Idris Elba as Shere Khan, Lupta Nyong'o as Raksha, and Christoper Walken as King Louie.
Although none of these voices is in the released trailer, Scarelett Johansson is the voice of Kaa. Kaa is a python who tries to hypnotize the man-cub with her seductive and magical gaze. Director Jon Favreau is also the director of "Iron Man."
In an interview with ComingSoon.net, Jon Favreau updated fans on the highly anticipated movie. Jon talked about bringing the classic animated film to life. In the interview, he also talked about finding the right kid to carry a movie like this and how amazing it was for him to work with Neel Sethi.
According to Cinemablend, the images that were shown by Disney at the D32 Expo were surreal. But the current footage explores more of a dreamy world aura with the realistic approach where Mowgli is in the dark jungle in a mystified ambiance.
