It's only been five months since the release of "Furious 7," but Michelle Rodriguez is ready to get going on the next film in the "Furious" franchise.
At the Harper's Bazaar Icon Party in New York City, E! News talked to the 37-year-old Michelle about the future of "Fast & Furious" series without Paul Walker. The actress revealed out some new details about the upcoming project, including when the studio is planning to start the filming.
"Next Summer!" she told to E! News with excitement. "Yeah, we're trying to round-up the troops." Fans will miss Paul Walker in the eight instalment of "Fast & Furious" franchise, but according to Michelle, this would be a perfect way to help cope with losing him.
"We need a good reason to move on after Paul," she explained. "And being that this is a global franchise now, it's not just the American baby, it's important that we consider moving on and take it seriously."
Michelle also added that as a cast of the action-thriller film, they all need a reason and something that motivates them from their heart. "And somebody who's passionate about directing it-I think that's the most important thing is finding a good director," said Michelle.
When she was asked about the location of filming, the actress said that the studio is looking at New York City. Being born and brought up in New York, this would be Michelle's first film in NYC since her 2000 sports drama "Girlfight."
Vin Diesel also had a word with E! News about the "Fast 8," which he nicknamed "F8" aka 'fate.' "Paul used to say that 8was guaranteed and, in some ways, when your brother guarantees something, you have to make sure it comes to pass," Vin said at MTV Movie Awards.
"Fast and Furious 8," or "Furious 8," or "Fast 8," or "F8" is still in pre-production but is set for release in April 2017.
