It was 13 years back when the popular game, "Resident Evil," hit the big screen. It's been nearly three years since moviegoers enjoyed the last movie from the franchise in the theatres. After "Resident Evil: Retribution," fans lost almost all hope that "Resident Evil" franchise will ever come up with another movie.
Good news for "Resident Evil" movie fans from around the world, principal photography of "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" has finally started and as the name suggests, this would be the last film from the franchise, reported Game Spot. Now Milla Jovovich is ready to play Alice. Jovovich posted a teaser picture of her readying up to play Alice in "Resident Evil: The Last Chapter" in her official Instagram account.
The making of "Resident Evil 6" has been delayed two times because "Resident Evil: Retribution" earned only $45 million domestically whereas it earned only $230 million worldwide.
According to Game Spot, Paul W.S Anderson revealed that "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" would be in complete 3D and that states that the entire film would be built for 3D as Anderson notes that from the sets, to the camera angles, to the costumes.
"I kind of write action scenes and pick out locations that I think and know--because I've done so much of it--will translate very well into 3D... We build sets that I know will shoot well in 3D. It's really, even from this point, 3D is something I'm definitely thinking about...I think the one thing that most people do agree on is the 3D looks fantastic and that's really good news," said Anderson.
According to Master Herald, "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter" is set to be released on September 2, 2016. It is also rumoured that Wentworth Miller, Sienna Guillroy, Spencer Locke will return to the franchise one last time.
