Kate Middleton is allegedly furious with her brother, James Middleton, for not breaking up with Donna Air despite her wishes.

It has earlier been reported that James Middleton broke up with Donna Air a couple of weeks ago.

"He just didn't think it was going to go the distance. And I think his family were always very anti her being the future Queen of England's sister-in-law," a source reportedly told The Sun, as quoted by Celeb Dirty Laundry.

There are speculations that Kate Middleton doesn't want her brother to date the model-TV presenter because the British royal family is allegedly not keen on being penetrated by people from the entertainment industry.

Though James Middleton is technically not part of the royal family at the moment, he is the brother of the future queen of England. And having Donna Air as the queen's sister-in-law may not sit well with the other members of Prince William's family.

"Look at how Prince Harry was forced to break up with Cressida Bonas when she made it clear that her entertainment career would not be forsaken to become Harry's wife," CDL reported.

"Same here - James was undoubtedly told that he was NOT to marry a TV personality and the message most likely came from Kate Middleton repeating the gospel according to Queen Elizabeth."

However, Duchess Catherine's brother doesn't seem to care that much about what Kate Middleton and the royal family would say.

"Mark Twain once complained that reports of his death were exaggerated," James Middleton and Donna Air said in a joint statement, as quoted by Daily Mail.

"A few days ago we were equally amazed to read the obituaries of our relationship splashed across the national press. Happily, we can report that our relationship is not over. We are still very much a couple and have not parted ways," the statement continued. "These stories are completely untrue and without merit."
