New Blackberry Priv With Android OS And Enhanced BB Security 'For Those Who Have Been Snooped,' Said CEO Chen

Finally, there are some official images available for the new Blackberry Priv. The new Blackberry Venice which was rumored to be launched with Android OS is finally revealed on the Internet christened as Blackberry Priv. The leaked images on Official Blackberry Blogs showed an android OS on the handset.

The new official photos reveal some very interesting features on the phone. A small icon DTEK is visible on the official photos which can be mistaken for the Blackberry icon itself. However, there is no information on the apps usability on the phone. Most analysts expect the app to be related to enhanced security features offered by Blackberry device on the Android OS, said Crackberry.com.

Earlier, Blackberry CEO John Chen spoke to reporters about security becoming a privilege in the modern world and how the company intends to address the issue on its new upcoming device. "We will have technology that will help the individual know if they have been snooped, attacked, compromised," said Mr. Chen, adding onscreen notifications will "measure your vulnerability ... and individuals will be able to tell if anything is happening to them," reported Crackberry.com.

Another interesting features that appears on the leaked images are the three dots under certain apps. The new Blackberry Priv shows dots under only BBM, Calendar, Google Play Store and Google Chrome. Earlier leaks of the keyboard had also revealed these three dots on certain keys.

The new Blackberry Priv is slated to be launched with 18MP camera with 5MP front camera including image stabilization and other features. There is a slider option that gives QWERTY keyboard along with the touch screen. The famous Blackberry Passport touch keyboard will also be available in the new Blackberry Priv, reported GSMArena.The official blackberry blogs stated the new device to be offering more security and productivity.
