George Michael is purportedly preparing for his 2015 comeback and according to reports, he's thinking of relaunching his music career by collaborating on a project with Sam Smith.

"George is working towards rebuilding his life after his rehab stint and music is his focus again. He has seen Sam's success and empathizes with aspects of his story," a source reportedly told Dish Nation. "He feels their voices would compliment one another and deliver a powerful duet."

Some speculated that George Michael might be thinking of riding in Sam Smith's fame to generate more buzz on his 2015 comeback.

Partnering with Sam Smith could indeed introduce the younger music fans to the 80s post-disco dance pop music artist.

Aside from collaborating with Sam Smith, George Michael is reportedly cooking up another huge project for his 2015 music career comeback - a reunion with Wham.

"George is also eyeing up a Wham reunion of some sorts. He and Andrew [Ridgeley] are looking at a documentary about their final show in 1986," the source added. "Andrew is not so keen on playing again, but George has some ideas."

George Michael may indeed go big in his 2015 comeback after going low profile for the past few years.

It has been rumored that the singer has allegedly suffered addiction to illegal substances a few months ago.

"Jackie Georgiou, wife of the singer's cousin Andros, told Pete Sampson at The Sun she is 'petrified' the 52-year-old will die after claiming his alleged binges on crack, cocaine, alcohol and marijuana left him a drug-addled wreck," Daily Mail reported in July.

George Michael denied rumors of substance abuse.

"To my lovelies, do not believe this rubbish in the papers today by someone I don't know anymore and haven't seen for nearly 18 years...I am perfectly fine and enjoyed Wimbledon like the rest of you. Wish it went to 5 sets though!...Lots of love, The Singing Greek xxx" previously wrote in a tweet in July, as quoted by ET Online.
