Marriage Not Dating

Han Groo is best known for her roles in romantic comedies that feature men who are opposed to marriage. In real-life, the 23-year-old actress and singer is preparing to wed her non-celebrity boyfriend.

On October 4, Han confirmed marriage rumors through a message on her Instagram account (@hanguru0529).

"I woke up with my phone ringing, this morning," said the actress. "Apparently, there are reports that I'm getting married. I was surprised but decided to break the news, myself. I will be getting married to my boyfriend, whom I developed a deeper relationship, in the past year."

The "Marriage, Not Dating" star went on to ask for support from fans, imploring audiences to understand the depth of their love.

An article published by the Korea Times outlined the course of their dating, particularly noting positive statements made by the actress, during variety show appearances.

In May 2015, Han confirmed that she was dating someone who was not a celebrity.

She has spoken positively about her boyfriend and their relationship throughout her run on "Real Men: Female Solider Special."

During a September 2015 episode, Han expressed her sadness at being separated from her boyfriend to film the show.

"Hi, baby," said Han. "I'm sorry I enlisted, I want to see you so much, already," said Han, in quotes published by the Korea Times.

The article went on to note that her boyfriend has often said that he is the envy of his colleagues because he is dating the star.

Han debuted as a K-pop solo vocalist in 2011, with her first releasing garnering a Best New Female Artist nomination for the Mnet Asian Music Awards.

She experienced greater success as an actress, through roles in dramas where the female leads struggled to deal with men who refused to commit to an on-going relationship. These roles included Min Dong Bi in jTBC's "Can We Get Married?" and her portrayal of Joo Jang Mi in the contemporary romantic comedy, "Marriage, Not Dating."

Han Groo will be wed in November 2015.
