LA Weekly recently published lists of the sexiest men and women in kpop. Included were more than a few favorite kdrama actors.
On the list of male kpop stars, Psy claimed the number one spot but here's how the rest of the idol actors ranked:
No. 9: Choi Minho of SHINee. Minho, who began his career as a model, was discovered by a music scout and then played Kang Tae Joon, the lead in "To The Beautiful You," achieved ninth place.
No. 7: Kim JaeJoong, formerly of TVQX and now a member of JYJ with Park Yoo Chun and Xia Junsu, has musical talent, flower boy good looks and has demonstrated his acting abilities in the dramas "Time Slip Dr. Jin" and "Protect The Boss," as well as the films "Heaven's Postman" and "Jackal is Coming."
No. 5: Rain made a memorable impression as the star of the drama "Full House," but has mostly focused on his music since then. He is now said to be looking toward producing.
No. 3: Choi Siwon of Super Junior has been in several films and a dozen kdramas, plus one Taiwanese drama. He most recently appeared as Kang Hyeon Min in "The King of Dramas."
No. 2: BigBang's rapper T.O.P. is developing his acting resume, having played the cold-blooded hit man Vick in "Iris" and most recently appearing in the film "Alumni."
As to the female kpop stars, Lee Hyori won the title of sexiest but here's how the other idol-actresses ranked.
No. 9: Kim Yu Bin or Yoobin of the Wonder Girls plays Lee Joo Yeong, a genius hacker in "The Virus." Her husky voice reminded LA Weekly of Queen Latifah.
No. 5: LA Weekly called Girls Generation a fantasy come true but the group has also accumulated some serious acting credits. Taeyeon, Hyoyeaon, Seohyun and Tiffany had cameos in "Unstoppable Marriage," Jessica was in "Wild Romance," Sunny did the voiceover for "Koala Kid," Yuri was in the drama "Fashion King" and will appear in the film "No Breathing," Sooyoung has a lead role in "Dating Agency: Cyrano," and Yoona had a lead role in "Love Rain."
No. 3: The weekly praised KARA's Park Gyuri her talent and successful acting attempts to play a girl pretending to be a boy in the comedy "Nail Shop Paris." The singer-turned actress made her debut in the film "200 Pounds Beauty."
